The WQS 2-star Vans Pier Classic presented by Jack's Surfboards wrapped up yesterday after four days of competition at Huntington Beach pier. Locals Shaun Ward and Courtney Conlogue took top honors in the Men's and Women's divisions and Bruno Rodrigues stole the show in the Ezekiel Pro Junior event. Vans team rider Pat Gudauskas made it to the semifinals in the Men's division and Sage Erickson placed second in the Women's division. Check out photos of the competition and final results.

Vans is excited to announce the signing of local surf phenom Andrew Doheny to the Vans Surf team. Though only 15 years-old, Doheny has been a dominant force in the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) for years, with 84 NSSA wins and 16 titles already under his belt, including the 2007 NSSA Open Juniors Champ title.
Over 180 surfers from Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island competed in this year's NSSA Hawaii Regional Championships held at Kewalo's on the South Shore of Oahu. Walking away with more than their share of hardware- John John Florence and Leila Hurst appeared in 5 different finals. John John took 3rd in the Open Juniors division, 2nd in Explorer Men and 1st in Explorer Juniors. Leila placed 2nd in the Explorer Women's division and 1st in Explorer Girls. Congrats!
The Orlando Vans park will be hosting a bmx am contest on April 5th. The contest will take place on the main street course and will be jam format.
The 3rd Annual Vans Pier Classic presented by Jackâ€™s Surfboards takes over the Huntington Beach pier Wednesday, March 26 through Sunday, March 30. Vans and the Asthetiker Crew put on the Wangl Tangl Snowboard Jam March 3-8 in Mayerhoffen, Austria. The event consists of a rider designed slopestyle course and a mini ramp skateboard contest. The event is part of the TTR World Tour and has been growing in popularity the last few years. Check out a recap of all the action!
On Saturday, March 29 The Block will be hosting a giant Element demo and autograph signing. Sunday was the Holy Day of the Vans Cup, a perfect wrap to our weekend trip into the soul of snowboarding. The riders, the fans, the smiles were all a part of it. It seemed some heavenly energy forced fun upon us. Even the weather seemed to be under divine control.
Danny Kass and Elena Hight ruled the giant Superpipe at Northstar-at-Tahoe for the second straight year as the fourth edition of the Vans Cup at Tahoe wrapped up under sunny blue skies on Sunday afternoon.
The air was crisp; the riding was crisper. Vans kicked off the second competition in its three-part weekend. Slopestylers were the center of attention. Riders jumped and jibbed for more than $80,000.
